Ela tem caracter\u00edsticas que n\u00e3o aparecem nos macacos, o que levantou a hip\u00f3tese de que, no passado, homens e s\u00edmios tiveram um ancestral comum, mas cada uma das 2 esp\u00e9cies evoluiu de forma diferente. &#8220;Ardi&#8221; tinha 1,15 m. de altura, pesava 27 kg e seu c\u00e9rebro era 3 vezes menor que o do &#8220;homo sapiens&#8221;. Ela nos mostra que h\u00e1 4,4 milh\u00f5es de anos j\u00e1 \u00e9ramos b\u00edpedes.
