A partir da\u00ed a data ficou consagrada como o dia da &#8220;her\u00f3ica mulher trabalhadora&#8221;. Ap\u00f3s a 2\u00aa Guerra o 08\/03 come\u00e7ou a se tornar o principal s\u00edmbolo de homenagem \u00e0s mulheres. Na d\u00e9cada de 60 o movimento feminista consolidou a data como um s\u00edmbolo de homenagem \u00e0s mulheres por todas as suas lutas na conquista de seus direitos. Vale lembrar aqui, que at\u00e9 1932, no Brasil, a mulher n\u00e3o tinha o direito nem de votar. Em 1977 a ONU adotou oficialmente a data, e a considerou de relev\u00e2ncia internacional.
