Um grupo de astrofísicos da Holanda, Japão e EUA, usando o radiotelescópio Alma, no Chile, identificou a presença de moléculas orgânicas complexas, à base de carbono e cianeto, que estão na base da existência da vida, num disco protoplanetário, isto é, no que será um novo sistema solar dentro de alguns milhões de anos. O disco está em torno da estrela MWC-480, na Constelação de Touro, e possui uma grande quantidade dessas moléculas.

Cumpre salientar que a luz proveniente do que viram já viajou pelo universo alguns milhares de anos, ou seja, neste momento pode haver vida inteligente naquele planeta, mas que somente será vista neste planeta daqui a milhares de anos, quando se espera encontrar vida inteligente no governo…

É verdade, seria preciso ir lá. Mas se um sistema em formação já contém as bases para a vida, ela pode existir em algum outro sistema já formado e ao nosso alcance. E também, a partir dessa descoberta, as futuras gerações poderão continuar a acompanhar o desenvolvimento desse sistema, e com o avanço na tecnologia de naves espaciais, talvez tenham possibilidade de chegar até lá.
O que eu acho muito legal nessa pesquisa do universo é que ela possui um planejamento de longo prazo. Um dia a Terra será destruída, e se quizer sobreviver a humanidade terá que partir. E quando esse tempo chegar, graças a estas pesquisas que começamos agora, já terão encontrado para onde ir.
