Consultoria: coisa muito importante

Semana passada fomos com uns amigos em um novo restaurante e percebemos que o garçom que anotava nossos pedidos carregava uma colher no bolso de sua camisa, o que era meio estranho.
Quando o auxiliar de garçom nos trouxe água e talheres, percebi que ele também carregava uma colher no bolso da camisa.
Olhei ao redor e vi que todos os funcionários do restaurante tinham colheres nos bolsos de suas camisas.
Quando nosso garçom retornou para nos servir o primeiro prato, perguntei-lhe:
– Porque a colher no bolso?
– Bem, ele disse, os proprietários do restaurante chamaram uma Consultoria para melhorar os nossos procedimentos. Após vários meses de análises, eles concluíram que a colher é o talher que mais cai no chão. Isso significa uma freqüência aproximadamente de 3 colheres por mesa por hora. Se o nosso pessoal estiver mais bem preparado, podemos reduzir o número de viagens à cozinha para buscar colheres limpas e isso significa uma redução em 15-homens-hora por turno.
Coincidentemente derrubei minha colher e ele pôde substituí-la de imediato com a sua colher sobressalente.
– Irei buscar uma nova colher na próxima vez que for à cozinha ao invés de ir especialmente até lá para essa tarefa, ele disse.
Fiquei muito bem impressionado. Aí percebi que havia um barbante pendurado para fora do zíper de sua calça. Olhando em volta, vi que todos os garçons tinham um barbante similar para fora de suas calças.
Antes que nosso garçom se afastasse de nossa mesa, perguntei-lhe:
– Desculpe-me, mas pode me explicar porque você tem um barbante pendurado bem aí?
– Certamente, ele respondeu.
Aí ele abaixou a voz e disse:
– Não são todos que observam isso. A empresa de consultoria que lhe mencionei também descobriu que podemos ganhar tempo no banheiro. Amarrando esse barbante o senhor sabe aonde, podemos puxá-lo sem encostar ‘nele’ e isso elimina a necessidade de lavarmos as mãos, reduzindo o tempo gasto no lavatório em 76.39 %.
– E como é que guarda o dito cujo, após usá-lo, perguntei?
– Bem, ele sussurrou, eu não sei como meus colegas fazem, mas eu uso a colher…
